From Monday 3rd to Friday 7th March 2008, 20 Ha'a Tufunga (Royal Undertaker) participated in a Tafinga (weeding using hands) which involved gardening and picking up rubbish around the Mala'e Kula (Royal Tombs) and Mala'e Loa (Royal graveyard).

Currently, the Ha'a Tufunga's gather once every 3 months to participate in the Tafinga. Another Tafinga will occur prior to the coronation of His Majesty King George Tupou V in August.
